Nanga Matu 23/5

Today was funny. We went to Petarican, another village in the Belantikan region, for a football match. Its a larger village than Nanga Matu (has more than one street). Yayorin (the NGO we are working with) doesn't work there as they have already agreed to a logging concession. You can tell..they have their own football kit with their names on!

It started raining and got worse throughout. I hadn't taken my poncho. WET.
There were a few injuries, not surprising seeing how many of them were slipping all over the place, hilarious to watch. Harry hurt his foot and Ido busted his arm diving to save a ball..which he didn't save.

We must have looked so odd to the villagers. All the other people watching at the sideline were quiet, while we were being all British like 'GO ON BAZZAA!!!' (barry)

We got 2 kelotoks back, one ran out of gasoline so had to be towed by the other one. I am now not surprised by stuff like this happening. I am in Indonesia.
When we returned to camp Pak Seriamat (one of the carpenters we are working with) cooked chips!!!! What an english day, football, rain, and chips!

I hope Ido is alright, he is actually quite a sweet guy, buys me chocolate and stuff :)
